Ashmita Deb

Ashmita Deb is a brilliant student of Shishu Bihar H/S school Agartala, Tripura and she has recently secured a scholarship by securing 4th position in National Merit Search Examination. Ashmita has been a bright and sincere student all along and is highly recommended by her teacher fraternity in school & outside. Ashmita’s father is the sole earning member in the family and her mother is a housewife. Things were going well for them until a few months back Ashmita’s father got diagnosed with advanced stage cancer. He had to stop his means of earning, and the family lost all their savings in her father’s treatment. Ashmita’s bright future was in danger as they were struggling to keep up with the financial demands of her education & her father’s expensive treatment at the same time. Shuhrid Foundation came to know about her case from Shishu Bihar Alumni Association SBAA, and immediately got in touch with her family to offer support. After having a few rounds of discussion, Shuhrid members decided to provide financial assistance to Ashmita to fulfill all her educational demands to the best of our capacity till she completes her school studies. We are currently in touch with her private tutors who have agreed to join hands with Shuhrid and provide her tuition free of cost. In addition to this we are providing a nominal monthly stipend to Ashmita to cover her daily education related expenses. We have assured her family to provide additional support in future if required and will be mentoring her all along. Hope she makes us all proud in future & fulfil her parent’s dream.
