Mouth and Foot painter from Udaipur, Tripura.

Pralay specializes in a very rare art form style called the Madhubani painting from Odissa, this form requires a lot of skill and dedication. Pralay is currently pursuing his graduation in phycology and aims to have a bright future in the art field.
Pralay was selected by Mouth and Foot Painting Artists Association (MFPA) - an international registered society of disabled artists, as a student artist in 2022 representing Tripura & India.

Pralay Dey was born on 15th January 2002, in a remote village in Udaipur, with both his upper limbs non-functional. He was born in a poor family. His father was a daily wage labourer and his mother an anganwadi worker. Pralay was a meritorious student in school and wrote with his legs. He passed his school and higher education with flying colors. Parallelly, he also painted with his feet. With immense practice and dedication, he mastered his painting skills with his feet and won many state, national and international level awards.
He has been a part of several national art competitions, child arts foundation, state level Kala Utsav, etc.
We at Shuhrid, engaged with Pralay from October 2021 as mentors to provide him guidance & support to hone his skills, make him self-sustaining in his field as well as complete his education. Apart from providing him with minimal financial support required, we also mentored him to get enrolled in the MFPA process. We helped him to apply to MFPA so that he could get a stable source of income & livelihood. Currently we are in constant touch with him to motivate him to continue his inspiring journey & become a state as well as a national asset.
